Press release from the City of Portland: March 25, 2022 Outside of the curbside collection time period, residents can drop off their leaves and yard waste at Riverside Recycling Facility. This includes green and brown waste such as grass clippings, garden waste, and leaves. Please be prepared to show your Riverside Recycling Facility eCard to the attendant. If you do not have an eCard, you will be required to pay Riverside's fee. Annual Spring Curbside Collection of Leaf Bags/Yard Waste Will Be Held April 25 - May 6 The City's annual spring curbside collection of leaf bags/yard waste starts on Monday, April 25 through Friday, May 6. The leaves must be in large, paper biodegradable leaf bags that can be purchased at most hardware stores. Place the biodegradable leaf bags curbside on your normal trash day during the above dates and City crews will take care of the rest! Depending on the volume of leaves collected each day, crews might not be able to collect them all on the same day as your trash collection. Please leave your bags out and crews will return.
