AID seeks to be an organization that recognizes the valuable contributions of the people providing services and the service recipients; infusing equity and inclusion into all key areas that impact AID clients, staff and board, operations and resources. To this end, AID leadership have collaboratively crafted an Equity and Inclusion statement to outline the meaning of equity, inclusion, values and commitments. Association for Individual Development (AID) is a not-for-profit agency that provides programs and services for individuals with developmental, behavioral and crisis needs across Kane, Kendall, DeKalb, DuPage, Will, McHenry and suburban Cook County communities. “I am tremendously proud of this collective effort from the AID leadership team to craft a message which encompasses all that we strive to be in terms of equity and inclusion,” said Courtney Littlejohn, AID Vice President of Equity and Inclusion. “This is not just a canned proclamation, but a powerful statement with much thought put into it. We are in the process of posting the statement across 40-plus AID residential locations as well as enlarged poster versions of the statement at our day service locations and offices.
