need private groomer for nail grinding

I have 2 older female chihuahuas that Petsmart will not take for nail trims any longer "because of their age". They hate their nails clipped and I usually have them filed to the shortest length possible. They have never been aggressive or bitten anyone (in fact, they barely have any teeth left!), but they will not let me trim their nails. I cannot afford to take them to my vet every time they need a nail trim (that's what Petsmart suggested)! I would appreciate any lead/recommendations. Thank you!
