Description
This is Firu, a 3 year old terrier mix (23 pounds). We rescued him from some people who were going to dump him. He’s great with small children, cats, small dogs, and women. He has never had an accident in the house and waits at the sliding glass door to be let out. We think he was abused by men in his last home because he can be very aggressive towards men, and has actually bit my very masculine 25 year old son.
He’s great in the car and really just wants to be close with his family. He hasn’t had any basic training but will sing if encouraged and knows “No”, “down” is a hit and miss, “ven” (come) because his first and previous owners spoke Spanish.
His front right leg has previously been broken from a car accident he was in with his previous owners, and since it never healed correctly it doesn’t bend. He’s capable of getting up and down most stairs, but overall moves like a tripod.
The reason we are rehoming him is because we have adult male family members that do not feel comfortable to enter the home due to his aggression. We also don’t have time or experience to fix his aggression. We think he would be great in a women only home, with someone who has time to train him and work on his aggression with him.
We aren’t asking a rehoming fee and would come with his dog beds, 6 months of his glucosamine, the small bag of his dog food, and his muzzle.
