SAN RAMON, CA — The San Ramon City Council is accepting applications as it looks to fill the District 2 seat vacated by recently elected Mayor Dave Hudson. Hudson vacated the seat after securing 35 percent of the vote, or 13,633 votes, in the race to serve as San Ramon's mayor. He bested five opponents, including fellow council member Sabina Zafar, in the race to replace longtime Mayor Bill Clarkson, who hit his term limit after serving a total of 22 years as an elected official.
