Description We are looking for a hard-working, reliable, and experienced Maintenance/Handyman to join our maintenance and commercial cleaning team at our Desert Hot Springs location. This position will be more of a handy man position but will also entail some janitorial duties as well. Your main tasks will involve assembling items such as desks, cabinets, etc, basic hand tool knowledge is needed, and facility cleaning and maintenance knowledge. You may have to dust surfaces, clean floors, and remove trash. We are looking for someone who has some commercial janitorial and handyman experience (i.e - hospital, school, facility, casinos, etc.) Our ideal candidate is a reliable self starter and who is able to work great independently. Shifts Available Full-Time 40hrs/Weekly Hours: Tues. - Sat. 7:00AM - 3:30PM Pay Rates $16.50/ Hour Resposibilities: At times, you may be assisting with changing out HVAC filters, changing lightbulbs, assembling desks and chairs or other furniture, and handling other very basic facility maintenance needs. Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs Make adjustments and minor repairs Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc) Cooperate with the rest of the staff Follow all health and safety regulations Requirements Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or GED certificate Commercial cleaning or janitorial experience preferred Driver’s license and reliable transportation Physical stamina Attention to detail Punctual ** MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE TO QUALIFY** ** MUST PASS A LIVESCAN** Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Must be able to stand, walk, bend over, and pick up items and in general have constant movement for the duration of shift. Must be able to lift, push, kneel, and pick up items small and large. Must be able to use cleaning solutions and properly and safely use brooms, unload trash cans, and use other cleaning supplies and tools
