boon hotel + spa in Guerneville, CA is looking for event servers and bartenders for the summer! The first event is a wedding Saturday, April 23rd. We have at least one event a month on the property. All events are outdoors. Must have previous serving and/or bartending experience. Description: Work events such as weddings and parties. In addition to serving food and beverages; required to set up and break down the event and offer excellent customer service to guests. Report to a manager and work with a team of servers to ensure the event runs smoothly. Requirements: Energetic, friendly, and social. Love working with people and enjoy interacting with guests. Communication skills – to engage with guests and to work collaboratively with team members and managers Physical dexterity – work on your feet for the majority of the shift, lifting and carrying heavy trays, bending, pulling, stooping, or pushing Knowledge of food + beverage service – polish flatware and glassware, serve from the right, clear from the right, presentation, proper wine serving Multitasking skills – working in a fast-paced environment, comfortable switching between tasks and working quickly to attend to different needs while maintaining poise Professionalism – maintaining a high level of professionalism, have an eye for presentation, making sure the tables are set and all uniforms are clean and presentable
