In search of a rhythm guitarist with backing vocals for the premier tribute to The Cars. The ideal candidate is a fan of The Cars and will have an ear for guitar tones and a suitable, strong voice. Our band plays selections from the entire catalogue of The Cars, with a particular emphasis on their first two genre-breaking, seminal records. As the premier tribute to The Cars, the band presents hyper-accurate, analog tones and note-for-note performances so as to present an accurate recreation of a band that shines in the regional tribute act market. While our band offers a nod to the visual aesthetic of the proto-new wave scene, it is not a costumed, look-alike presentation. What the audience receives is a stunning, precisely tuned musical experience that turns back the clock and recreates the sounds of a band born in Boston in the 1970s that changed the landscape of rock music. What can you expect? You can expect fun, quirky and nerdy professional bandmates who value the tribute experience for the greater goal of delivering the music of The Cars. We practice twice a month and gig expectations are 1-2 times a month, and team participation for load-in/load-out of gear, including sound, lights, promotional paraphernalia. Practices are held in Hamden, CT. The band provides full PA support and you provide your guitar, microphone, mic/guitar stands, and your awesomeness!
