Designs by Stonescapes is a custom hardscaping company who specializes in the installation of retaining walls and interlocking pavers. We're currently seeking and interviewing for great people to be a part of our team. We'll always choose a detail oriented, efficient, smart individual over someone with lots of experience that doesn't have these characteristics. You will report to Crew Leaders and will be responsible for day to day tasks on our large scale commercial interlocking paver projects and hi-end residential backyard projects. Experience in the hardscape, masonry or construction fields is a plus. More importantly, we're looking to hire individuals who are eager to learn and learn fast, individuals who show respect for other crew members and crew leaders, and individuals who enjoy working outdoors. Hardscaping Tasks: May include but not limited to Installing Pavers and Retaining walls; Site Prep, proper elevations for base material, installing interlocking pavers in various patterns, accurate cutting of pavers with concrete cut saws and installing concrete restraint edge. Qualifications: * Five years of Construction Experience a must * Technical skills for interpreting construction methods and technologies along with contracts and technical drawings * Time-management skills to meet deadlines and ensuring construction phases are completed on time * Valid Drivers License preferred * Availability to work a varied schedule (including Saturdays as needed) in sometimes adverse weather conditions * Knowledge of Elevations & Installation practices Requirements: - Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery and personnel - Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors - Training, managing and mentoring employees - Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery and equipment while providing training on safety gear, equipment and procedures - Developing and managing project budgets and quality standards for all sites - Resolving conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably - Regularly reporting project status to supervisors View our website for examples of what we do: www.designsbystonescapes.com To apply for this position, please do one of the following: Text your interest or Email your resume
