PDIC’s mission is to provide the very best customized distribution service of dry ice, wet ice and related products to our customers. PDIC is seeking to hire a Delivery Associate to join our team for our after-hours shift, which we employ seasonally from June 1 through October 31. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to augment their primary job/career. Key responsibilities will include: • Operate company non-CDL vehicles in a safe manner at all times (vehicles include Ford F-250 pickup truck and Ford F-550 box truck) • Facilitate the safe and efficient transportation of products using company vehicles (products may include, but not be limited to, wet ice, dry ice, snow ice, and coolers) • Obey all traffic rules and regulations • Maintain a clean driving record • Loading/unloading product on vehicles and within the company’s facility and customer facilities • Handling customer payment and reconciling it with delivery slips • Complete in-house tasks as requested, such as filling customer orders and maintaining facility order and cleanliness • Complete any additional tasks as requested, within reason, to keep customers satisfied with service, delivery, products and to maintain a safe working environment • Communicate clearly and politely with customers • Maintain safe, clean and efficient workspaces • Keep current with specified vehicle and equipment maintenance cycles The successful candidate will have many of the following attributes: • A strong moral and ethical foundation • Lack of ego • Clean driving record, preferably in commercial vehicles • Experience driving commercial vehicles in a busy urban setting • Exceptionally gifted in customer service • Ability to lift awkward loads of up to 50 pounds • Experience moving heavy loads with pallet jacks and fork lifts. Certification is desired but not required. • Candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
