Cat hit by car

Today at 7:50 I saw a gray car hit a long haired tabby cat. The driver stopped but I’m not sure if they found the cat. I went back to look and only found bits of it’s fur between two parked cars on the south side of the road (happened right in front of a yellow house), I hope it’s okay! Just thought I’d want to know if this happened to my pet!❤️❤️
