If you have a display need, we have the perfect solution! Position Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Before sewing can begin, pattern pieces must be made, layouts determined, and fabric cut. Able to accurately measure, mark, and cut fabrics based on order information given by using a rotary knife/fabric shears. Prepare and fold fabric for production purposes. Review daily production schedules for changes and complete jobs by the established due date. Cutters may use electric knives or cutting machines to cut pattern pieces. May operate textile cutting machine setters, operators, and tenders monitor the machine's work. Cutters and trimmers take the patterns and cut out material, paying close attention to their work because mistakes are costly. Following the outline of the pattern, place multiple layers of material on the cutting table and use an electric knife or other cutting tools to cut out the various pieces of the garment; delicate materials may be cut by hand. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to carry out each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Up to 1 year year(s) of sewing experience is preferred, but not required. Some experience in fabric cutting or manufacturing settings is preferred. Strong attention to detail. Ability to stand for working hours. Lifting, bending, twisting. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Work independently in unison with team goals. Basic math and computer skills are necessary. Must understand textile characteristics and have a good sense of three-dimensional space. Exceptional hand-eye coordination. Must have basic computer skills.
