Description
SAN RAFAEL, CA — The Marin County Department of Public Works this week announced in early June it will kick off a pavement project affecting some 8.2 miles of roadway in unincorporated Marin County.
The project is set to repair sealant on roads in Loma Verde, Los Ranchitos, Greenbrae, Sleepy Hollow, Strawberry, Almonte, Harbor Point, Tamalpais Valley and Ignacio. Residents in these neighborhoods have already been notified about the pending project.
The county's public works department said in a release the $600,000 project is covered by Marin's Road and Bridge Rehabilitation fund. The repairs are intended to extend the lifespan of pavement and cut down on the need for regular maintenance.
Workers will be on-site conducting repairs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, the county said. Some roadways might be restricted to single-lane access. Flaggers will help control traffic on these roadways.
Other roads, the county said, could be closed temporarily, and detour routes will be provided.
