Crystal Tree Farm is a small landscaping business. The selected candidate would be working alongside the owner. To be successful in this position the candidate must be willing to work hard and for long hours if necessary. We are ideally looking for someone that can work full days a few days a week. Candidates should be mature and understand hard work. Landscaping can be tedious and exhausting we need someone that is willing to work hard and take direction. Only apply if this describes you! Position Overview: The landscaping crew member is expected to be an experienced and mature landscape able to work with minimal supervision. This person works as a member of the team under the direction of the business owner. The landscape crew member is able to operate a variety of equipment and has a working knowledge of horticultural practices. Primary Responsibilities: -Completes landscape maintenance duties, such as spring clean-ups, fall clean-ups, trimming, mowing, mulching, and pruning. -Maintains a clean and safe work environment, including work site and equipment. -Installation of plants, lawns, mulch -Completes the job in the most time-efficient manner meeting the client's landscaping needs. -Responsible for other various duties as assigned. -Works as a team. -Operates a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to; chainsaws, hedge clippers, commercial mowers, blowers, line trimmers, and weed-eaters. -Maintains assigned equipment and notifies foreman of needed repairs. -Assists in the loading and unloading of equipment for daily jobs. -Works safely and watches out for the safety of others. -Notifies owner of any broken or unsafe equipment -Plants trees, shrubs, and flowers. -Helps with snow removal during the winter months. -Interacts with clients in a professional manner. -Other related duties as needed. Knowledge and Experience: -This position requires a high school degree or GED, plus two years of experience in the landscaping field. -Strong oral and written communication skills, time management, job planning skills, problem-solving skills, and mechanical aptitude are a must. -Valid Driver’s License and Reliable Transportation -CDL is a plus -Snowplowing experience is a plus Work Environment: -Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects, including the ability to stoop/kneel/crouch, ascending/descending on ladders, traverse uneven terrains with or without additional weight and equipment -We operate heavy machinery so all works sites need to be distracted free this means no headphones or cell phones during working hours. Job Site Conditions: -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather (heat or cold), and moving mechanical equipment. In addition, job sites are located on both residential and commercial property. -The employee may also occasionally be exposed to the homeowner’s pets.
