Join us for a walk along Baird Creek with Charlie Frisk to hear about the history of the land & how it has been used since the 1900s! Charlie has extensively researched and talked with local natives about the land and its use from the early 1900s and on. This hike will include facts about the creek, the changes in wildlife species throughout the years, fun stories told to us from the kids who grew up here 75 years ago and more. Do you know how many names Baird Creek has had in the last 125 years? Join us on Saturday, April 23rd to find out the answer!
Remember to dress for the weather and be prepared to encounter a few hills and unpaved trails. The Baird Creek Preservation Foundation hosts free guided hikes through the Baird Creek Greenway that are open to the public. The hikes are led by experts in the related area and are a great way to learn, have a little fun and enjoy the outdoors.
The Baird Creek Preservation Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to facilitate the preservation and restoration of the Baird Creek Watershed in order to enhance its value as an ecological, recreational, and educational resource for generations to come.
