Description

Calling all kids and kids at heart to get your hands dirty while creating art that is going to help care for our land! Calling all kids and kids at heart to get your hands dirty while creating art that is going to help care for our land! Join us on Saturday, April 9th as we build off April 2nd's Land Acknowledgement by Louise Padron to continue the conversation and create some art! Shelby Siebers, Appleton School District Cultural Advisor and Oneida member, and Lexi Angemi, Baird Creek educator, will read a story about why caring for the land is so important. After that, you will have the option to get your hands dirty creating native seed balls that will then be thrown into the Greenway to grow during our April 30th Clean Up Event or painting rain barrels with the theme "Nature is Calling" that will be sold to community members with proceeds going towards our 30x30 Nature Campaign. Whether painting or getting your hands muddy to create seed balls, wear clothes that can get dirty! The Baird Creek Preservation Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to facilitate the preservation and restoration of the Baird Creek Watershed in order to enhance its value as an ecological, recreational, and educational resource for generations to come. If you have questions about the hikes or about the Baird Creek Preservation Foundation, please contact us at 920.328.3505 or [email protected].
