1 Hour deep dive into Drag culture hosted by The Center for Sexuality & Gender Diversity These sessions expand our Safe Zone offerings by taking 1-hour deep dives in a variety of QT-related topics, and using these trainings as a way of connecting QT issues, ideas, culture, and history with other parts of our lives. If you have already completed Safe Zone: QT 101, make sure to bring your binder so you can keep track of which sessions you’ve attended! RuPaul’s Drag Race (and the subsequent spinoffs) have launched drag performance into the mainstream but drag as performance art started long before the creation of the television show and has a long political and personal history. Join The Center for an hour-long dive into moments of drag history and learn about the political and personal potential for drag performance before the Kansas Drag Showcase!
