Join us at the expanded Parkside Studios! Parkside Studios #3 is for work only and is located on the second floor of a small building, and is divided into four work spaces. The available semi-private studio is located in the middle of these spaces and is 12' x 27'. There are no windows but the space does have a closet for additional storage. This studio has been given a fresh coat of white paint on the walls. There is a shared restroom with a sink and toilet. The other studios are currently occupied by a painter, sculptor, and a mixed media artist. We all have different schedules and it is rare that we would be there working at the same time which is super helpful during the pandemic. Access to the studios are 24/7. The building is located in Flatbush / Prospect Lefferts Gardens, directly across from the Parkside Avenue Q Station and Prospect Park (on Parkside Avenue). There is a short straight stairway that goes from the street to our space on the second floor. The studio space available is ideal for all types of art production except for the use of toxic materials and heavy wood cutting or fabrication. Parkside Studios is a community of sorts, as there are more studios in the adjoining buildings (Parkside Studios #1 and #2) that includes four painters, two fashion designers, photographer and a writer. Most of us live in the neighborhood. The rent is $850 a month with a monthly $25/$50 utilities fee. (Utilities is based upon on how many artists would be using this space). Security deposit, first month's rent and $25/$50 utilities fee are necessary to move in. Thanks!
