HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A 63,000-pound crane crashed into a house in Hamilton Township Friday afternoon, according to the Hamilton Township Police Department. No one was injured.
A 63,000-pound tri-axle crane belonging to Lift Techs Crane and Rigging Company partially overturned onto the house Friday morning, according to the police department.
It happened while workers were attempting to take down a tree from the backyard of the home, police said.
"Units are operating at a crane into a house on Miry Brook Road," the Hamilton Township Professional Firefigthers said in a Facebook post Friday afternoon. In the post, the crane can be seen tipped on its side laying across the home's roof.
A tree also appears to have crashed into a neighboring home as a result, according to NBC 4.
Members of the Hamilton Hazmat Team, Hamilton police and fire departments, and Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G) responded to the scene, according to the police department.
Hamilton Building and Electrical inspectors also responded to the scene to assess damage, police said.
