Youth Emergency and Disaster Preparedness Prepared kids can become resourceful adults of the future. This class is not intended to scare kids. Rather, it will be age- appropriate , fun , and educational to build confidence and empower them to be prepared . Students will learn about the difference between emergency and disaster, as well as what types of emergencies to be prepared for, protective actions to take, family communications plans, disaster supply kits, GO Bags, what to do during severe weather, calling 911, and some basic first aid taught by a first aid and CPR instructor. At the end of the class the kids will all get a Go Bag.
