Melting Pot is a cultural immersion show the seeks to take the Bates community through the Caribbean experience through several art forms! Each year the Caribbean Student Association comes together to host our annual Melting Pot Showcase to show off and embrace Caribbean culture as well as the diaspora as a whole. The theme of this years show is Nirvana which takes the name of a really popular carnival band but it also represents the state of happiness and peace of mind. For Caribbeans, this is what the celebration of Carnival is! People come together, dress up in beautiful costumes and dance from morning to night! This years Melting Pot showcase will be shed light on the creativity and beauty of the Caribbean and African diaspora through a range of performances and Carnival modeling. Outside guests are required to show proof of vaccination.
