Description

Join film directors & protagonists for a special pre-broadcast screening of On The Divide, a new documentary premiering on PBS this spring. South Texans for Reproductive Justice and Peace is Loud are proud to present a special pre-broadcast screening of ON THE DIVIDE. On the Divide is a new documentary following the story of three Latinx people living in McAllen, Texas who, despite their views, are connected by the most unexpected of places: the last abortion clinic on the U.S./Mexico border. As threats to the clinic and their personal safety mount, these three are forced to make decisions they never could have imagined. Learn more about the film and its impact campaign here. Join us as we screen the film in the community where it was filmed and hear from directors Maya Cueva and Leah Galant, as well as film protagonists from South Texans for Reproductive Justice. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Screening begins promptly at 7 pm, followed by a panel and Q&A discussion moderated by Entre RGV Film Center. Light refreshments will be provided. This is a free event, though audiences are encouraged to donate to South Texans for Reproductive Justice. Ticketed after party to follow. All proceeds of which will support South Texans for Reproductive Justice's efforts.
