Join us for a creative afternoon combining the basics of watercolor brush lettering styles with colorful watercolor embellishments. Laugh and relax with our crafty community as you learn how to lay out and paint an inspirational (or snarky!) quote or poem and decorate with a loose floral wreath or fun designs. Go home with a meditative new hobby, new art supplies, and your completed lettering project! Enjoy two hours of guidance & practice with a local hand letterer and watercolor artist. Snacks & sips available at The Nightingale Bistro. Class includes: ALL SUPPLIES for you to take home, layout example sheets, and your final project. About the instructor: Marialena Rivera is a local hand letterer and watercolor artist, bookseller, and former teacher with a Phd in Education Policy. Maria dove into modern calligraphy and watercolor brush lettering as a meditative escape from the chaos of raising one, then two, and now three littles and looks forward to each late-night hour she gets to spend painting and lettering.
