PAWS FOR A CAUSE AND MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR THE BARKING PROJECT AT GRIGGS PARK ON APRIL 9TH The Barking Project has organized the largest dog adoption event in Dallas, "Paws for a Cause," at Griggs Park in Uptown Dallas on Saturday, April 9th from 10 am to 3 pm -- and you're invited to come out and support!! THE EVENT DETAILS The Barking Project is all about providing care and finding loving homes for dogs that are available for adoption! And the goal of Paws for a Cause is for 100+ dogs to be adopted. Local rescues including Dallas Animal Services, SPCA, Saving Hope, Rockwall Pets, The Love Pit, Weimaraner Rescue of Texas, White Rock Dog Rescue, Cane Rosso Rescue will all be at the event! You'll want to follow @thebarkingproject on IG to get to know the adoptable dogs and participating shelters & rescues. Beyond adoption, any dog owner or lover is encouraged to come by! There will be a DJ, taco truck, pet illustrationist, professional pet portraits and pop-ups by local pet-related brands. THE BARKING PROJECT The Barking Project is a group of passionate animal lovers who wanted to help dogs in need in Dallas! The group is made up of people who volunteered at shelters across DFW and shared the realization that shelters simply do not have enough space and resources to care for all of the dogs in need right now. By bringing shelters and rescue groups together in one space, they decided it would be the most effective way to help more animals find loving homes! PET PORTRAITS PRESENTED BY JOLIE BARRIOS Get ready for some glam shots taken of your pup thanks to a professional portrait station sponsored by Jolie Barrios of Douglas Elliman aka @realtorgirldfw! The backdrop will be a gorgeous Boxwood wall with the Dallas skyline. You must sign-up for a session in-advance and all proceeds will be donated to the participating rescue groups to help them help more animals!
