ABOUT US: We are a small but rapidly growing hobby shop and nationwide mail-order business in Pinellas County, FL. We are expanding and need several people with varied skills to grow with us. Some of our best employees have been those who may have had a little college experience but found that it wasn’t quite right for them and the corporate treadmill wasn’t their destiny. We'd like to hire someone who is looking for a long term career opportunity and willing to learn all aspects of the business. THE JOB: 32-40 hours per week, maybe Saturdays. Starting pay of $13.00 to $16.00 per hour depending on the position, with the possibility of rapid increases. No other benefits at the present time. No experience necessary and we will train you in all aspects of the job, however it would be a plus if you have any interest or talents in the rare coins, stamps, or other collectibles hobbies, advertising, catalog or magazine layout, basic computer skills, customer service, eBay, social networking, websites etc. At first, the bulk of your day will be spent in the mail-order catalog part of our business. Preparing, pulling and shipping orders. Taking orders over the phone. Responding to emails. Basic computer skills. Packaging and sending out our monthly catalogs. Listing items on eBay. Occasionally waiting on customers, ringing up sales, stocking shelves and other store duties may be required. We’re a small business so everyone pitches in when necessary. These are the entry level duties of the job, but your skills and drive can lead to better and more interesting aspects of the business. We are looking for someone who is interested in excelling at this job in order to take a more valuable and important roll in the future. THIS IS A GREAT JOB FOR YOU, IF: You are a quick learner with a positive attitude. Able to be punctual. Honest and trustworthy. Able to dress and interact with customers in a professional manner.
