Babywearing workshop for Professional Doulas and Newborn Care Specialists As a Certified Babywearing Educator and Doula, I have found wearing babies in a wrap or sling extremely helpful in not only caring for the newborns we work with, but also teaching new parents how to keep their baby close (and also have free hands) but don't know where to start. This is an area that gets lots of questions and gives us the opportunity to shine and bring VALUE to our clients. The focus of the workshop is to bring awareness to babywearing, learn the benefits of babywearing (for both baby and parent), and most importantly, be able to teach parents how to keep their newborns close. We will also go over how to nurse your baby in a baby carrier. You will learn the foundations of babywearing, how to front carry newborns and small babies, and how to direct your clients in picking out the perfect carrier for their baby. This workshop is for beginners and intermediate babywearers. We will cover the following types of carriers:Stretchy Wrap Ring Sling Woven Wrap Buckle Carrier If you have your own baby carrier(s), please bring them with you.
