Weekend Crash Knocks Over Pole In Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH, RI — A crash in Portsmouth on Saturday knocked over a utility pole on West Main Road. The crash happened on Saturday at the intersection of West Main Road and Bristol Ferry Road. Only one vehicle was involved, a white SUV that crashed into a utility pole on the sidewalk. The driver was evaluated at the scene by emergency responders and was not taken to the hospital. National Grid was called in to replace the pole.
