Portsmouth Man Charged With Marijuana, Cocaine Possession

PORTSMOUTH, RI — A Portsmouth man is facing drug charges after police found marijuana and cocaine in his home on Friday. Sidney Goodson, 49, of East Main Road, was charged with the manufacture, possession, delivery of a schedule 1 or 2 drug and possession of marijuana. Portsmouth police searched Goodson's house along with members of the Newport Police Narcotics Division. The search warrant came as part of a joint investigation into drug sales in the area. He was arrested and taken to Second District Division Court and arraigned.
