SHREWSBURY, MA — If you go to the May 22 Worcester Red Sox game, chances are you'll run into your neighbor. The WooSox recently announced a series of "town takeover" nights at Polar Park. During each night, a different local town will be in the spotlight, and a nonprofit based there will get some proceeds from ticket sales. When the WooSox take on the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders on May 22, every ticket purchase will send $5 to the Shrewsbury Youth & Family Services, Inc. The 2022 WooSox season begins away in Jacksonville, Fla., on April 5, and the home opener comes April 12 against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.
