No Injuries In 3-Alarm Reading House Fire

READING, MA — Fire crews from several communities battled a blaze that "quickly escalated" in Reading Friday night, the firefighters' union said. Firefighters were called to the scene on Walnut Street shortly after 6 p.m. They arrived to find smoke coming from the home and quickly called for three alarms, the union said. Nearby departments helped bring the fire under control. The union said there were no injuries at the scene.
