The Reno+Sparks Chamber of Commerce announces its second Chamber Volunteer Day, in partnership with Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful. Networking for goodChamber Volunteer Days exist to bring professionals (and their families) together to make an impact in the community! Once a quarter, we'll pick a nonprofit, rally Chamber member volunteers, and do some good. How you can helpThis spring, we're partnering with Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful by assembling Chamber volunteers to help with their annual Great Community Cleanup, April 30, 2022. Past events have boasted more than 700 volunteers, and we hope the Chamber can provide many helping hands! Our goal is to have 40 Chamber volunteers commit to help clean up and beautify the Rosewood Nature Study Area (6800 Pembroke Dr, Reno, NV 89502) near Veterans Parkway in southeast Reno. Here are some details:Day/time: April 30, 2022, 9 a.m. to noonWe'll meet in the parking lot at Rosewood Lakes and walk along Veteran's Pathway, focusing on trash pick-up and cutting back vegetation along the pathVolunteers of all ages are welcomePlease wear clothes you can work in, and don't mind getting dirty; sturdy, closed-toed shoes and long pants are required; sunscreen is highly recommended; bring work gloves, if you have themPlease bring a refillable water bottle; the Chamber will have a water cooler and snacks on siteKTMB will provide all work tools and materials; there will also be a KTMB Project Manager on site to train participants and answer questionsLiability form will be provided on site for participants' signaturesIMPORTANT: PLEASE REGISTER FOR ALL THE PEOPLE IN YOUR PARTY SO WE HAVE AN ACCURATE HEAD COUNT!
