JOB SUMMARY Villa Marin is currently looking for a Part-Time Prep Cook responsible for performing a variety of kitchen and food service duties involving food preparation for agency residents and guests. The right candidate for this position must be available to work a flexible schedule; shifts to include mornings, evenings, weekend and some holidays. SCHEDULE: Part-Time 26-28 hours per week Tuesday: 3:00pm-7:00pm / Friday-Saturday 10:45am–7:15pm / Sunday: 5:00am-1:30pm Shifts will include some holidays as needed KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of heavy duty kitchen equipment and food preparation and cleaning in an industrial kitchen Ability to read and follow recipes, and to organize and maintain work and storage areas Ability to organize and prioritize work under pressure Patience, tact and understanding of the aged Experience in an industrial kitchen preferred REQUIREMENTS Applicant must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations. Also must meet health assessment requirements as regulated by the California Department of Social Services. TB testing and fingerprint clearance required by Community Care Licensing through the State of California Department of Justice background check bureau.
