Press release from Pelham Public Schools: March 28, 2022 The Pelham Community is invited to join us for PMHS Sock'n'Buskin's spring musical "Bright Star," by Grammy®, Emmy® and Academy Award®-winning Steve Martin and Grammy Award®-winning Edie Brickell. Performances are Friday, April 1 at 7:30pm, Saturday, April 2 at 7:30pm, and Sunday, April 3 at 2pm in the high school auditorium. Inspired by a real event, this original musical tells a sweeping tale of love and redemption set against the rich backdrop of the American South in the 1920s and 1940s. The story unfolds as a rich tapestry of deep emotion, beautiful melodies and powerfully moving performances. "Bright Star," which will be directed by Mr. Thomas Beck and Mr. Neil Schleifer, won the 2016 Outer Critics Circle Awards for Best Musical and Best Score and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Music. It also received five 2016 Tony Award nominations! All tickets are $20 and $15 for students and senior citizens and can be purchased online.
