Introduce your child to a kindergarten classroom and receive tools on how to prepare your child for their first year of school. Hopkins’ Kindergarten Bridge is a great opportunity for your child to become comfortable in a kindergarten classroom. Your child will enjoy exploring a classroom with other children, and caregivers will learn about strategies to prepare for your child’s kindergarten experience. Registration is strongly encouraged for health and safety. Masks are strongly recommended, but not required. Event Schedule:6:30-7:00 p.m. - Our Early Childhood staff will lead activities for parent/child play in Kindergarten classroom(s). 7:00-8:00p.m. - Caregivers will move to another room for a discussion about school routine, kindergarten readiness strategies, and activities that you can do together over the summer to prepare your kindergartener for their first school year. Please note: younger siblings will remain with caregivers during this time. 7:00-8:00 p.m. - Your incoming kindergartener will participate in classroom activities.
