BEL AIR, MD — Police said 62 people were stopped this weekend during a patrol to clean up distracted and impaired driving along MD 24 in Bel Air.
"Our goal when doing these initiatives is simply to make the roads safer for everyone and work towards zero deaths on Maryland roadways," the Bel Air Police Department said in a statement.
Police announced they would be conducting the patrols days beforehand.
During the operation on Saturday, officials said 33 drivers were cited and 29 received warnings.
"It looks like many of you were on your best behavior while driving in Town on Saturday," police said, "but some of you were not."
