Job Description We are seeking a Pool Technician to bring on board and expand our footprint in the greater Greenville, SC area. This role will report directly to our Lead Technician and work alongside him for several months in order to learn the business and procedures. Pool technician experience is preferred but not necessary. A quality candidate is someone who is flexible in hours to start (20-30 hrs./ week) during training, then ramping into a full-time position come Spring/Summer. We are seeking a clean cut, clear record, dependable, honest and trustworthy person who has some mechanical wherewithal who really enjoys working with their hands and solving problems. If you are a stand up person, with integrity, it will go a long way in our organization. Primary Responsibilities: • Pump and filter maintenance • Vacuuming/Skimming/Brushing pools • Maintaining appropriate chemical levels • Carry out scheduled water cleaning and use of appropriate chemicals • Maintaining salt systems/chlorine generators • Pool Repairs • Liner Replacements • Interacts with homeowners and customers daily in professional manner • Create and complete weekly maintenance routes Additional Responsibilities: • Servicing heating and circulation systems • Fixing lights above and below water level • Pool Leak detection knowledge • Checking and repairing corrosion, cracks and leaks in the pool walls or floors • Making sure equipment like pool covers, diving boards and slides are in good working order • Keeping stock records for cleaning supplies and spare parts • Work and repair on Gunite, Tile and vinyl lined pools • SPA repair and upkeep • Logging and reporting equipment faults or water quality problems Required Qualifications: • Legal ability to work in the United States • Reliable transportation to work. • A clear criminal history; i.e., no felony convictions. • Ability to pass a drug screen • A valid driver's license with a clear driving record. • A working smart phone with ability to take pictures.
