On this walk, we will explore the ecology of fallen logs along our woodland trails as well as in our stump garden. Insects, plants, and fungi all make their homes in fallen logs, which are a very important part of Cylburn’s ecology. On this walk, we will explore the ecology of fallen logs along our woodland trails as well as in our stump garden. Walk content will be geared towards children ages 5-10 and we will be out for approximately 1.5 hours. Our Director of Education, Erika Castillo, will be your guide. We will meet at Vollmer Center. Our walks are free to members. There is a $5 per child suggested donation to Cylburn Arboretum Friends (an accompanying adult is free) if you are not a member.
