Join us for a guided walk around the Cylburn Arboretum. Come learn more about the history and current upkeep of the gardens. Join us for a walk and discussion about the ground plane of our gardens. Sometimes neglected in garden planning, this lowest level of the garden is an opportunity for beauty and habitat, as well as shade for the soil to preserve moisture and deter weed germination. We'll also touch on alternatives to traditional mulch. This will be a gentle walk around the gardens led by Jennifer Forrence, professional horticulturist and former head gardener at Cylburn from 2007-2014. We will meet at Vollmer Center. This walk is free to members. There is a $5 suggested donation to Cylburn Arboretum Friends if you are not a member.
