Description

StretchLab, the premier assisted stretching franchise, recently opened its newest studio in Orland Park. Located at 31 Orland Square Drive, the studio will introduce people of all ages and fitness levels to the various health and wellness benefits of working with highly trained Flexologists™ in an open, modern, fun and approachable environment. They recently hosted a grand opening celebration in February, and will be giving complimentary stretches to runners at the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle this upcoming weekend. StretchLab Orland Park is owned and operated by Lenita Williams. After gaining extensive management and business ownership experience as a second-generation family and local private security agency, Lenita looked to other entrepreneurial opportunities. As a two-time breast cancer survivor, Lenita gained inspiration to find a concept that would benefit the community and positively enhance the health of their patrons. StretchLab’s business model and ‘Live Longer’ mantra provided the perfect fit for Lenita and her new business venture. “Whether you are looking to enhance your current exercise routine or looking for an avenue to begin your fitness journey, everyone can benefit from assisted stretching,” said Lenita. “Stretching is extremely complementary to one’s health, and it’s very humbling to provide our residents and neighbors move, feel and live better.” StretchLab offers a variety of one-on-one personalized stretching services including a 25-minute stretch that concentrates on the client’s current stretching needs, as well as a 50-minute head-to-toe deep stretch that addresses all major muscle groups. In addition to one-on-one stretching services, two small-format group stretches are available in which a trained Flexologist™ leads clients through a warm-up and sequence of stretches to address major muscle groups. Monthly memberships are available for four or eight visits per month, as well as drop-in stretches. The Orland Park studio will also offer the TRX MAPS machine, which is a revolutionary machine that identifies movement inefficiencies across four critical categories: Mobility, Activation, Posture and Symmetry. The MAPS score is created utilizing 3D technology to perform a total body movement assessment scan in under 30 seconds, as users perform three body-weight squats. Results are delivered on-screen and via email, which will allow StretchLab’s Flexologists to better serve the needs of its diverse members. This creates a customized movement plan and offers a measurable way to see progress in flexibility. StretchLab Orland Park is open Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. – 8 p.m., as well as Saturday from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. The studio can be reached online at www.stretchlab.com/orlandpark, by email at [email protected] or by phone at 708-405-2102.
