Custom Garden Designs is looking for a Landscape Specialist to assist with all aspects of landscape installation. We are a full service landscaping contractor and strive to make each customer feel special. We are looking for someone who has a strong work ethic and takes pride in doing the job right the first time. We install our own designs, which can include (but is not limited to) pavers, irrigation, gravel, plants, small construction (trellises, playhouses, garden beds), retaining walls, sod, water features. We love to be creative and are always looking for unique ways to make our customers' dream backyards come to life. We also do monthly maintenance for a select group of clients. This includes weeding, pruning, deadheading and spring and fall clean-up. Work is seasonal from April to November. Work days are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, and you will be paid 7 hours as long as lunch is kept to 30 minutes or less. Be aware that there will be days called off for weather in the spring and fall so your income will fluctuate some at those times. Qualifications: - 1+ years as landscape/hardscape crew with the ability to perform all physical aspects of the job, including digging, moving materials via wheelbarrow and by hand, end-of-day clean up, and worksite setup/tear down. Must be able to lift at least 60 pounds. - Ability to operate machinery (compacter, skidsteer, etc.) and drive a truck pulling a trailer - a clean Colorado driver's license is required. - Some construction experience/trade skills would be a plus. - We really need someone with a good knowledge of plants and weeds. - Be able to follow instructions, complete projects, and work in a team. - Excellent communication skills - Fluent in English, Bilingual is plus - Reliable form of transportation to work every day and a working cell phone. - Awareness of the budget and the time constraints of the job and ability to maintain an efficient and safe work place. - A respectful demeanor towards crew, clients, and subcontractors - we are all in this together and nobody is above doing any part of the job. We are a small crew and everyone is needed to pitch in when and where they are needed. - Great attitudes only! Pay is $16-24/hour depending on experience and skills.
