Strong voice is foremost concern. Knowing more than cowboy chords and strums would be great too. Covers of Townes, Merle, Waylon, Cash, and the like. Throw in some rock like the Allmans, Skynyrd, the Band, etc. Round it out with new bloods like Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell. Can test out any of your originals every 6th song or so if you have them. No smoky bars for this project. Prospective members are in our early to mid 30s. So be old enough to have some experience but not looking for AARP members.
