Press release from the North Kingstown School Department: NKSD Reopening Plan Major Components NKSD Families and Staff: Attached is a slide presentation outlining the NKSD Proposed Reopening Plan for the fall of 2020. This presentation has links to the NKSD Proposed Reopening Plan submission to RIDE and the proposed NKSD school calendar for the 2020/2021 school year. Please take time to review the slide presentation and the plan itself. I am sure you will have questions and concerns. The following meetings, listed below, will provide an opportunity for us to explain the features of our plan further and to hear the concerns of all constituents as we continue in our planning. We are also planning for further communications with parents and staff regarding various aspects of the plan. These will be coming soon and regularly as the school year approaches. Also, coming soon, NKSD is producing an FAQ to be posted within the next week. I want to take this opportunity to thank the NKSD administrative team for their tireless work to coordinate and write the NK Reopening Plan. I also wish to thank our teacher and support staff union leaders and our Reopening NK Advisory Group for their excellent input into this complex reopening process. I want all in our NKSD community to know that we are aware of the concerns and anxiety school reopening decisions raise. We appreciate and have taken to heart all of the feedback we have received from parents and staff, and we will continue to communicate and seek your input.
