Local Contractor hiring skilled and unskilled labor for seasonal positions with possible winter work for the right team members. We are a small, growing company specializing in building restoration contracting. Summer season focuses mainly on exterior refinishes of log and wood sided buildings. Work outside with a fun, tight-knit and hard-working crew around the Fairbanks area and other remote places in Alaska. Finish trades work. Attention to detail a MUST! Skilled Laborer Minimum Qualifications: 2 positions available -18 years or older, legal to work in the US -2+ years experience in construction trades (painting and/or carpentry preferred) -Driver’s License and own transportation all around the borough daily -40-50 hour work weeks (May 1- Oct 1) and some out of town travel may be required -Comfortable working on ladders and scaffolding, operating and using manlifts -Able to stay extra hours when needed to meet deadlines -Own basic hand tools a plus Duties: -Operate various power tools for long hours such as, all types of sanders, grinders, paint sprayers, saws, hand tools, etc.. -Able to lift 50-80 pounds regularly and repeatedly -Clearly communicate, take direction and perform any and all duties assigned in a safe and efficient manner Pay: $22-25/hour DOE + Overtime (Monday-Friday, occasional Saturdays) Unskilled Laborer Minimum Qualifications: 1 position available -16 years or older, legal to work in the US -Driver’s License and own transportation all around the borough daily -30-40 hour work weeks -Ability to demonstrate ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to learn Duties: -Assist with setup, cleanup and general preparatory labor, such as, masking/taping, vacuuming, and many duties as assigned.
