Urgently hiring Intake Coordinator POSITION SUMMARY: Intake Coordinator works on admitting patients to healthcare programs by maintaining admitting guidelines; marketing programs; obtaining applicant information; screening applicants; completing admissions process; resolving patient dissatisfaction. The Admissions Coordinator will maintain proper communication with necessary parties to orchestrate transportation arrangements and all pre-intake needs. RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains admission guidelines by writing, updating, and recommending changes to admission criteria, policies and procedures.Markets programs and facilities by preparing and providing informational brochures; writing and placing advertisements; answering questions; conducting tours.Assessment/Screening of potential clients.Insurance call verificationFill out phone screening forms to ensure clients meet admission criteria.Follow completion of assessment if client fits admission criteria.Ensure payments are processed and coordinated for all clients.Respond to client complaints by communicating to appropriate departments.Respond to emergencies and initiate action as required.Assist Clinical Director in the coordination of services for clients.Communicate with insurance billing department to verify benefits.Adhere to all necessary laws and regulations governing the facility operations.Other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge: Demonstrate ability to communicate and work effectively with people of various backgrounds.Possess basic knowledge of HIPAA. Abilities: To excel in this position the Admissions Coordinator should be able to demonstrate the following competencies: Problem Solving – The Admissions Coordinator will be able to identify and resolve problems in efficient and effective ways.Ethics – Treat clients, staff, co-workers, visitors, and contractors with respect and dignity; work ethically and uphold our values.Attendance, Punctuality, Reliability – Arrive on-site, on-time, as scheduled, consistently with a professional disposition.
