We are a concrete foundation company looking for full-time construction help. We have been in business since 2002 and we employ around 45 full-time team members. Unlike many construction jobs, we keep busy right through the winter. We work for a number of builders. Most of the work is in the northern suburbs of Pittsburgh (Mars, Gibsonia, Wexford, Cranberry). Our work is physically demanding and we work outdoors in pretty much all weather. Work is Monday-Friday with an occasional Saturday. The day starts at 7:00 a.m. and the end time can vary. The pay starts at $20 per hour. In addition, there is normally ample opportunity for overtime at time and a half. We also like to promote from within, do a great job, move up the company ladder. In this position, you will be working with a team to build footers and basement walls. A strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential. General Labor Duties and Responsibilities: • Unload tools, prepare building site materials, stack building materials, and set up equipment • Follow project instructions from foreman or supervisor • Consult with construction plans • Use construction and maintenance tools and equipment to complete daily tasks • Follow all health and safety regulations when operating equipment • Ensure regulated and proper headgear, earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, and clothing are worn • Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner • Assist in building scaffolding and temporary structures • Safely operate a variety of tools including, hammers, jackhammers, drills, saws, grinders, and rebar cutters • Clean and clear debris • Ensure construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly General Labor Requirements and Qualifications: • High school degree or equivalent educational experience preferred; vocational school or trade apprenticeships a plus • Must be 18 years of age • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift heavy loads • Must be comfortable climbing up ladders, working at elevated levels • Positive attitude and work ethic • Able to work independently or as an active member of a team • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management. • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive to various job sites We would love for you to apply and take the next step in your career with us!
