Help! The dog kennels at the Jackson County Animal Shelter are full! If you've been considering adopting a dog, this would be a good time! During this two-day adoption event, Saturday through Sunday, April 2-3, Noon to 4pm, adoption fees for dogs 30 pounds and over will be reduced to just $50, a 66% discount from the regular $150 fee. There’s no discount for puppies under 6 months, small dogs less than 30 pounds, or cats. Jackson County residents are also responsible to pay the $25 annual dog license fee. No appointments are needed to attend this event. Walk-ins are welcome. The Jackson County Animal Shelter is located at 5595 S. Pacific Hwy in Phoenix (nearer to Talent).
