(PNPS Nursing & Home Care) was started in 1978 due to an overwhelming need for private nursing care in the metro-west area of Boston, MA. Currently, Professional Nursing Placement Services provides clients with private home care as well as nurse staffing services. The majority of clients are elders; however, the company provides services for paraplegic patients, disabled and other non-elder clients. The company's employees are Registered Nurses (RN's), Licensed Practiced Nurses (LPN's), Home Health Aides, and Companions, or a combination of all of the above. In today's home care industry, each client's daily needs are unique and specific to their individual symptoms and diagnosis. The agency and each nurse, aide, and driver must communicate with each other, as well as with the patient's family, on a daily basis regarding the health needs of the client. PNPS Nursing & Home Care's most important role is to identify each patient's individual needs and match the most qualified nurse or companion who will provide for those needs.
