American Cancer Society (ACS), Pasadena City College, PCC Parent-Teacher-Student Association along with Global Federation of Chinese Business Women-Greater Los Angeles Chapter present 2019 Asian American CancerPrevention Symposium with a goal to increase the Asian community's awareness on the on-going cancer issues and gain knowledge of cancer prevention from several experts in the area.
This free symposium will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 8:30am – 1:00pm at the Pasadena City College in a bilingual format with English as the official language and Chinese via audio translation.
In this symposium, ACS will focus on the following topics:
Cancer Prevention(vaccine)
Early Detection (colon cancer)
E-Cigarette (impact)
Artificial Intelligence
Virtual Reality (cancer application) and
Cancer disparity on diversity and inclusion (age, race, culture, etc.) by a panel discussion.
Congresswoman Judy Chu will be the keynote speaker to address Congress policy on health care and cancer research.
