Description
This is Luna. She is a year and a half old, and about the size of a 6 month old kitten. We rescued Luna in October 2020, she looked to be about 5 weeks old. She was found crying, alone, in the backwoods outside Yelm. She was shy with our dachshund/pug dog, and our calico at first. But she would seek out human attention. After about 2-3 weeks she started following our cat around non stop. She started playing with the dog a bit, and still likes to find her (in a calm state) so she can snuggle :) She LOVES snuggling with our cat; even when she is pushed away, she pushes back and gets close (sometimes sits on) our poor cat.
My fiancé works from home and says she likes to come out and sit with him when no one else is around. I'm not sure if I believe him....
The reason we are rehoming her though, I want to make clear to any potential adoptees. In the last year we haven't been able to get her in to be spayed at Passados, and can't afford the vets with a $300 fee. So she seems to go into heat every couple weeks, and will randomly mark her territory the way male cats do. She also seems terrified of the outdoors, which makes sense.. We've given her chances to go out but she only wants to look.
She is so very sweet and loving, just wants to be friends with the other pets, but for some reason seems mortally afraid of people. I'm not sure what could have caused this behavior, as she's never (since being with us) been abused or neglected in any way. Although our 8 year old is crazy noisy...
I think she needs a home with other animals, maybe older children, and the understanding that she needs her space until she's ready to be friends.
If you'd like to meet her, please text me. She'll come with some food and her dishes, and will be free to the right home.
Thanks!!!
