Retired professor here. Looking for the college student who used to come by for some "tutoring" and extra help...as there were a couple of subjects your GF couldn't help with. Enjoyed your visits. You probably have graduated by now. You were tall, curly hair, athlete from Guilford College (near my place). Still in town by chance? I know it's a long shot, but had to give it a try.
